February 7 to February 14 is celebrated as the Valentine week . The first day of the Valentine week is
Rose Day, followed by Propose Day, Chocolate Day, Teddy Day, Promise Day, Hug Day, Kiss Day and
finally Valentine’s Day. This is the week to express yourself with Loved Ones, Friends, Family and
your Special One.
The beginning of this week is marked by Rose Day, on February 7. Roses are gifted to the special one,
celebrating love and affection. Rose come in all colours, Red being the most favourite of all. There is
a Rose colour to express each of your emotions.
The second day of Valentine’s week is Propose Day which falls on February 8. On this day, people
pop the question to their lovers. The Big question is What should I gift in on Propose Day? Cakes,
Flowers, Teddies, Soft Toys, Chocolates, Pendants are popular gifts for this occasion.
Chocolate Day is the special day celebrated on February 9, as the couples express their love and care
by gifting and sharing chocolates with each other. Chocolate is a sign of love and commitment

Valentine’s Day on February 14. This day has been named after Saint Valentine, a priest who is
believed to have helped Christian couples get married during the Roman Era at such a time when
Emperor Claudius II, did not allow men to get married. He was of the view that single men were
better and more dedicated soldiers. Saint Valentine did not agree with this ideology and facilitated
the weddings of couples in love.

whole calendar where its acceptable for people en masse to publically show signs of affection. Were
